BURBANK, Calif., (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Hollywood Records' Jonas Brothers set attendance records yesterday in Dallas, performing at the Texas State Fair. Fans showed up in the range of 40,000 people, oblivious to the stifling heat and humidity, and traffic tie ups that backed highways up to Oklahoma. Only Garth Brooks and Latin singer Selena have drawn bigger crowds.
The weather however was treacherous and reached highs of a humid 97 degrees, leading to more than 200 fans being treated for heat exhaustion.
Jonas Brothers self-titled CD debuted on the Billboard Top 200 Album chart at # 5, and their single, "S.O.S." shot straight to # 1 on iTunes. Jonas Brothers was the first release in the CDVU+ format, a multi-media, 100 % recyclable package. Jonas Brothers embark on their sold out tour with Miley Cyrus in St. Louis, MO on October 18, and are set to release The Bonus Jonas Edition, a deluxe version of Jonas Brothers October 30. – CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
