PHILADELPHIA (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Jim Thorpe of Thorpe Productions and Dewey Beach Music Festivals has teamed up with Vince Volz of Double V Bookings to manage bookings at the soon-to-be-opened Philly venue, The New Legendary Dobbs.
The original JC Dobbs was a bright star in the Philly music firmament, playing host to concerts by artists such as Soul Asylum, Nirvana, Mother Love Bone, Indigo Girls, Smashing Pumpkins, Pearl Jam, Rage
Against The Machine, Tool, Green Day, The Offspring and numerous others and the partners hope to revive that spirit with the new incarnation of the club.
Jim Thorpe is a 20-year industry veteran handling band management and independent bookings at clubs ranging from the original JC Dobbs to the Middle East. Vince has stage experience, performing for more than a decade in the Philly market as well as six years spent booking at numerous venues including The Trocadero, Grape Street Pub, Khyber and the Rox Box to name a few. –
