Leon Russell Recovering After Heart Attack, Planning Fall Tour


NASHVILLE, Tenn. (CelebrityAccess) — Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Leon Russell is on the mend after suffering a heart attack in July that forced him to his concerts through September.

According to a press statement, Russell underwent a successful bypass surgery and expects to be back on the road for a fall concert tour, with dates already scheduled from October through December.

Russell thanked his fans for the outpouring of support he received while laid low, stating, “It’s always great if even one person likes me, it’s especially heartwarming to get over 400 emails.”
