(CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — For the first time, a series of six concerts will be broadcast from New York’s Central Park SummerStage in the New York metropolitan area. ABC-TV will air “Live from Central Park SummerStage" concerts every Saturday
beginning July 24, 11:35 pm – 12:35 am. The series will be hosted by Sam Champion of “Eyewitness News” and is executive produced by Ideal Entertainment principals Jon and Peter Shapiro. (Peter Shapiro was profiled by CelebrityAccess on April 16.)
All the talent comes from the "benefit" shows–the nine paid concerts–rather than the bevy of 30 free shows that SummerStage is internationally known for. All the paid concerts this season have been Clear Channel Entertainment promotions.
