LAS VEGAS (CelebrityAccess) — Singer Britney Spears had a scary moment on Wednesday night after an audience member gained access to the stage and rushed at Spears and her dancers as they performed at Planet Hollywood.
In a video of the incident captured by audience member Michael Banks, a member of the venue's security team can be seen to intercept the man as he attempted to approach Spears on stage. Spears does not appear to initially notice the intruder at first but stops her performance as she becomes aware of the tussle and then leaves the stage with a member of the security team.
The stage intruder, identified as 37-year-old Jesse Webb was arrested for alleged trespassing and transported to the Clark County Detention Center, Las Vegas Metro Police said.
Police also reported that Webb had previously been asked to leave the concert venue by security prior to rushing the stage.
After Webb had been removed, Spears returned to the stage to continue her show. Her Piece of Me residency, which began in 2013, will come to a close this December.
