Man Faces Charges After Driving Into Festival Crowd

HUNTSVILLE, TN (CelebrityAccess) — A 42-year-old Cleveland man has been accused of killing one person and injuring several more after driving his SUV into a crowd following a Trace Adkins concert at the ATV Festival in Smith County on Saturday night.

According to CBS affiliate WDEF, Billy Jason Carson faces charges of criminal homicide and reckless endangerment, with other possible charges possible as authorities continue to investigate the incident.

Investigators allege that Carson had been drinking and made threats in a dispute before the incident. Following the show, investigators contend that Carson got into his vehicle and drove it into a crowd of approximately 50 people. Witnesses say it looked like he was aiming for specific people and vehicles.
