BILOXI, MISS. (CelebrityAccess) — Matt McDonnell named to the post of executive director of the Mississippi Coast Coliseum & Convention Center, commencing on July 1st.
McDonnell was selected from a list of eighteen applicants though, he likely had a leg up on the compeition as he has served as the assistant executive director of the venue since 1986, the Sun-Herald reported.
"We are confident that we hired the right person with more than 29 years of service with the Mississippi Coast Coliseum and Convention Center and more than 34 years of experience in the entertainment and venue management arena," Mitch Salloum, Coliseum Commission president told local ABC affiliate WLOX.
A native of Mobile, Al. McDonnell also serves as an alderman for the City of Ocean Springs, a position he has held since 1993. – Staff Writers
