(CelebrityAccess MediaWire) – The Memorial Coliseum in Corpus Christi, Texas, could face demolition after the City Council voted 8-1 last week to begin negotiations with TRT Development Company, which has proposed turning the site into fairgrounds with multiple aspects.
The plans, which would include razing the venue, call for fairgrounds with an amphitheater, miniature golf, restaurants, rides and possibly a ferris wheel.
Restoration of the venue would cost the city between $4 million and $6 million, according to the Corpus Christi Caller-Times. Negotiations are expected to take a few weeks. –by CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
