MONTEREY, CA (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — A new music and arts festival called the Monterey Music Summit is in the works in Monterey California and is slated to debut on October 20 & 21 at the Monterey County Fairgrounds.
Featuring an eclectic blend of socially conscious musicians as well as performance art and spoken word presentations, the festival's organizers that the event will serve as a forum for social and political activism.
The lineup for the festival features 25 performances on two stages, including Michael Franti & Spearhead, The Roots, G.Love & Special Sauce, Cake, Ozomatli, CéU, Brandi Carlile, and Colbie Callait, Tea Leaf Green, Alo, New Monsoon, Crash Hot, Honeycut, Meshell Ndegeocello, Dan Bern, Ollabelle, West Indian Girl, Melodrome and more TBA.
The festival will also feature a "world market" area for vendors, exhibits and a drum circle.
Tickets for the festival went on sale earlier this month and will run you $99 for a both days or $65 for a one day, GA pass. – CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
