LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess) — Live Nation's EDM festival subsidiary Hard Events is taking a pass on their Halloween-themed Hard Day of the Dead this year.
According to the Los Angeles Times, this will mark the fist time since Hard launched in 2008 that it won't hold a Halloween-themed event.
Hard Events sparked controversy earlier this year when three young adults died after attending the Hard Summer rave in San Bernardino County, leading city officials to question the use of publicly owned property for such events. However, it is unclear if the deaths played a part in Hard Day Of The Dead's hiatus this year and Alexis Greenberg, a spokeswoman for Hard Events declined to comment to the Los Angeles Times if the deaths were a factor.
“The show was never canceled — technically, Hard Day of the Dead 2016 was never even announced,” Greenberg told the Los Angeles Times.
