TLANTIC CITY (CelebrityAccess) — The Casino Reinvestment Development Authority of New Jersey put the kibosh on a planned concert for Atlantic City's Boardwalk Hall that would have been telecast as a part of dick clark productions “New Year’s Rockin’ Eve” telecast.
According to the Press of Atlantic City, the CRDA had previously announced plans to stage an event to take part in the telecast, using funds left over from a pair of canceled beach concerts earlier this summer. However, on Saturday, the CRDA announced that they would instead focus on plans for 2017.
“Though we hoped to sponsor a New Year’s Eve performance at Boardwalk Hall this year, scheduling conflicts and other considerations have redirected our focus to the 2017 concert calendar,” CRDA spokeswoman Karen Martin wrote, per the Press of Atlantic City.
“The CRDA continues to work with dick clark productions and our other business partners to attract top-tier artists to perform in Atlantic City,” Martin added. – Staff Writers
