Ole To Co-own Music for Dr. Seuss’ Cat In The Hat


TORONTO (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Under a new deal with Random House Children’s Entertainment, ole will co-own all compositions in the new series “The Cat in the Hat Knows a Lot About That” starring Dr. Seuss’ famous character, The Cat in the Hat. Developed as a co-production by Canada’s Portfolio Entertainment and the U.K.’s Collingwood O’Hare Entertainment, the series will air on PBS Kids and will star the voice of esteemed actor, Martin Short.

Production of the new series has begun on 40 animated half-hour episodes which are set to premiere in fall 2010 on PBS (U.S.), and Treehouse (Canada). The series is based on The Cat in the Hat’s Learning Library books published by Random House. The Cat in the Hat Knows a Lot About That will guide 6-year old friends, Sally and Nick, on natural science explorations around the world. Random House Children’s Books will also publish a full line of original books to support the television series launch and will oversee a limited slate of licensing and merchandising efforts.
