Canadian groups The Parachute Club and The Pursuit of Happiness will be inducted into the Indies Hall of Fame on March 1 as part of The Indie Awards show taking place in Toronto.
The Indies Hall of Fame recognizes the long-term contributions of an individual or band to the development of Canadian artists and the growth of the Canadian music industry. Current members of the Indies Hall of Fame include Martha & The Muffins and DOA. Nominations are submitted to the Canadian Association for the Advancement of Music and the Arts (C.A.A.M.A.) whose board of directors determine which artist(s) are inducted each year.
