LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Randy Newman, the singer, songwriter, pianist and composer, known for his caustic and satirical pop style, may have captured the zeitgeist of the age with an offhanded quote at this year's Oscar Awards.
Newman is an industry veteran has experience in many facets of the music industry through his live performances and more recently, his extensive film scoring work with movie studios such as Pixar.
The quote, as reported in the New York Times, was made backstage during the Oscar Awards in response to a 'chipper' college reporter who was questioning Newman on ways to break into the music industry.
Newman responding to the question with sardonic flair, quipped: "Who would want to break into it? It's like a bank that’s already been robbed."
