VERNON, CANADA (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Rita MacNeil's “Now The Bells Ring Christmas” show, which was to take place at the Vernon Performing Arts Centre this Monday, has been cancelled due to illness.
"Because of the nature of the program, it will not be possible to reschedule the concerts," said Marlene Palmer, MacNeil's publicist.
"Rita is devastated by the cancellation, but she hasn't been feeling well, and felt she had to cancel."
Shows affected include Campbell River, Nanaimo and Vernon. The tour is scheduled to resume in Edmonton, Nov. 29.
