After Chic disbanded in 1981, Thompson became a much sought-after percussionist for a diverse group
of artists including David Bowie, Mike Jagger, Madonna, Rod Stewart, and Led Zeppelin at Live Aid.
A fundraiser in his memory is scheduled for December 16 at the Hard Rock Café. Fans can also make donations in
