(VIP-NEWS) — Two people have died after heavy storms ripped through a community festival in Austria.
Another 120 people have been injured after severe weather in St Johann am Walde, northern Austria, caused the festival’s pavilion to collapse.
The Red Cross has dispatched its emergency response team.
About 700 people were in the Zeltfest tent when gales whipped through the town, which is located in the Braunau region.
Revellers were buried under the marquee and hit by falling debris.
A 19-year-old woman and man aged 28 were killed in the incident.
Of those injured, 20 are in a serious condition.
The annual Zeltfest celebration is organised by the district’s two volunteer fire services, with live music and dancing held over the weekend event.
