KOBLENZ, Germany (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — SFX Entertainment continues its expansion in the EDM world with the acquisition of German EDM promoter i-Motion GMBH, producer of Mayday, Germany's largest indoor dance music event.
Based near Koblenz, i-Motion has been promoting events since 1994 and represents a number of major european festivals. Among the events SFX has added to their portfolio with this acquisition are: Nature One, founded in 1995 and one of Europe's longest running festivals, the event sells more than 100,000 tickets a year; Mayday, the first major event in the history of electronic music, which was established in 1991 and currently operates in Germany, Poland and Belarus; and Ruhr-in-Love, an outdoor festival which held its 10th anniversary in 2013, while providing 38 stages and dance floors on grass lawns, attracting 46,000 visitors.
