KNEBWORTH, UK (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Iron Maiden and Rammstein have been tapped to headline the next year's touring Sonisphere festivals. The gig will make for Maiden's only UK appearance in 2010 and the first UK festival appearance for Rammstein.
The 2010 lineup will also feature Alice Cooper, Anthrax, The Cult, Iggy & The Stooges Motley Crue and Slayer with more to be announced.
Festival organizers have also added a day to the event next year and the festivities will kick off in Knebworth on Friday, July 30th with a Rocky Horror Picture Show theme and carry on until Sunday, August 1st.
"Knebworth has been the home of so many legendary concerts going back many years it really will be a privilege to play there. We enjoy the camaraderie of playing great festivals and are very much looking forward to getting back out to do some shows next summer and, as it will be over two years since we played the UK, we will certainly be looking to deliver a memorable and spectacular night for our fans." said Iron Maiden's Bruce Dickenson. – CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
