AUSTIN, TX (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band are set to play an intimate concert on March 15 at the South by Southwest Media Conference and Festival, the annual gathering of music, film and tech industry professionals.
The festival, dubbed SXSW, announced the much-rumored show on its website. A ticket drawing will determine who's admitted into the yet-to-be-named "intimate" venue.
The 15th of March will be a busy day for the Boss as he will, as previously announced, also be delivering a keynote address at the Austin Convention Center.
Springsteen joins notable keynote alumni including Johnny Cash, Carl Perkins, Lucinda Williams, Robert Plant, Pete Townshend, Smokey Robinson and Neil Young.
Springsteen's SXSW appearance also neatly coincides with the debut of his latest studio album, "Wrecking Ball," which drops on March 6th. Springsteen and the E Streeters will kick off their world tour behind Wrecking Ball on March 18th at Atlanta's Phillips Arena. – CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
