Portsmouth (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Not one, but five companies, ranging in size from giants such as Clear Channel to literal mom & pop local businesses like Ma & Pa Productions have entered bids with the city to provide management services for the troubled venue.
The five companies that have entered bids are: Harbor Center Joint Venture, the current management firm, Mike Jones and Ken MacDonald's new endeavor, Integrated Management Group, Compass Facility Management, Clear Channel and Ma & Pa Productions.
A decision on the bids is expected by mid-October.
The Pavilion, which opened in 2001, has been the focus of a contentious feud between the city of Portsmouth and Harbor Center also was extensively damaged in 2003 during hurricane Isabel. — CelebrityAccess staff writers
