SEATTLE, WA (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Freshly re-formed in 2010, new wave pioneers The Cars are prepping to hit the road for a whirlwind tour of North America this spring.
The tour, set to kick off on May 10th in Seattle, Washington at the Showbox, will hit major markets across the U.S. before winding down on May 25th in New York, with a gig at the Roseland.
The tour will mark the first time since their 1987 outing that the band's full lineup has been included (sans Ben Orr, who died 2000.) The Cars are touring in support of their upcoming album "Move Like This," which is set to drop on May 10th, which by some mysterious coincidence just happens to be the first day of their tour.
The Cars first sprang to national attention with their 1984 album "Heartbreak City" which peaked at #3 on the Billboard 200 and featured 5 top twenty singles, including 'Drive' and 'Magic.'
