TPAC & Live Nation Engagement Off

NASHVILLE (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — The Tennessee Performing Arts Center and Live Nation have agreed to a cessation of their contract. Live Nation had been promoting for the large performing arts center and will continue to do so until their contract expires on June 30, 2007, the Tennessean reported.

After the split TPAC will handle it's promoting and marketing in house. "From a programming perspective, … we alone will be looking at what shows are available for tour," Kathleen O'Brien, TPAC president and chief executive officer told the Tennessean, "We will be negotiating directly with the booking agents, rather than Live Nation participating in a choice of programs and then doing the negotiation."

The change was reported to be amicable and a reflection of TPAC's growth rather than the result of conflict between Live Nation and the PAC. – CelebrityAccess staff writers.
