Troy Ave Released On Bond, Barred From Performing

NEW YORK (CelebrityAccess) — Rapper Troy Ave was released on a $500,000 bond secured by his mother's Brooklyn home on Monday.

Troy, whose real name is Roland Collins, has been charged with attempted murder, weapons possession and other charges related to a deadly backstage shooting during a T.I concert at Irving Plaza on May 25th.

Collins bodyguard and lifelong friend Ronald McPhatter was killed in the incident and Collins was shot in the leg. He denies that he fired the deadly bullet and police are still investigating the incident.

Conditions of Collin's release require him to wear an ankle monitor bracelet and prohibit him from leaving the city. He has also been ordered to stay away from all performance venues, precluding a return to the stage, at least for now. – Staff Writers
