The NBA Finals are usually televised like an ordinary basketball game with highlights during half-time. Now, perhaps with a nod from the NFL's Super Bowl, comes music between halves. U2 will perform two songs June 6 during the half-time of Game 1 via a live feed from the FleetCenter in Boston; On center court: Destiny's Child at Game 4 on June 13 from Philadelphia; and Sugar Ray at Game 5 (if necessary) on June 15.
So what about Games 2 and 3 — there will be special basketball-themed "Weakest Link" shows with basketball players and announcers.
There is no word on what entertainment will be promised for Games 6 and 7, but the way the Los Angeles Lakers have swept the playoffs to date, there might not be a need for them, or Game 5.
