Update: Kings Of Leon Tour Cancellations Expand Following Accident

BOSTON (CelebrityAccess) — The Kings of Leon have are canceling more dates in the wake of a tour bus accident that left the band's drummer, Nathan Followill injured with broken ribs.

In a press release today, promoter Live Nation said that the band would be canceling all shows for their Mechanical Bull tour for next two weeks on doctor's orders.

Dr. Faiz Bhora, Chief of Thoracic Surgery at Mount Sinai Roosevelt Hospital says, “The process is now to rest in order for healing to take place. To avoid complications and to make a full recovery, a break from performing to August 28th is necessary."

The band will pick up the thread on August 28th when they take the stage at PNC Bank Arts Center in Holmdel, NJ.

However, fans jonesing for some KoL before the 28th can catch them performing live on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon on August 12th with resident band-leader Questlove filling in on the drums.
