Ticketmaster has promoted Edward J. Weiss to executive vice president and general counsel. In his new capacity, he will oversee all aspects of Ticketmaster's domestic and international legal initiatives including but not limited to strategic global expansion, business development, and mergers and acquisitions.

Weiss joined Ticketmaster in 1998 and previously served as the company's senior vice president and assistant general counsel. Prior to that, he served as an assistant US Attorney in Los Angeles.
