GLASGOW, Scotland (CelebrityAccess) A man was arrested at the TRNSMT festival in Glasgow, Scotland, Saturday after climbing the scaling speaker rigging and briefly halting a performance by Liam Gallagher.
Gallagher was seen alerting the stage crew and then told the man to “jump or get down” from the speaker stack, according to the BBC. The incident causeed booing from the crow while the stage crew stopped the music.
“Police can confirm that a 34-year-old man was arrested and charged with a breach of the peace after he climbed part of the speaker stack during the Liam Gallagher set at TRNSMT festival on Saturday 30 June 2018,” police said in a statement. “A report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal.”
The man was one of six people arrested. The festival ends tonight and returns July 6.
“We couldn’t have asked for better on our first weekend of TRNSMT this year. We’ve had unbelievable festival weather and seen some fantastic sets,” promoter Geoff Ellis told the BBC. “Arctic Monkeys are headlining what’s probably one of the most anticipated festival performances of the year – we’ve got them for a UK festival exclusive, and it’s their only Scottish date of 2018 – so it should be an epic end to our first three days.”
