Disney Music Group announced the debut of a new podcast series that features interviews with film and television composers from Disney, Marvel Studios, Pixar and in the future, Lucasfilm, 20th Century Fox, and more.
The new podcast will produced by Maria Kleinman, hosted by Variety’s Jon Burlingame, and will be created in conjunction with Treefort Media, a Los Angeles-based podcast studio developed by Kelly Garner.
“Launching a podcast was a natural progression for us given our legacy and rich history with award-winning film and television soundtracks. We look forward to including composers from our upcoming slate,” said Diseny Music Group President Ken Bunt.
The podcast series kicks off on August 23rd with an interview with Marvel Studios’ composer Alan Silvestri, whose credits include “Avengers: Endgame,” “Avengers: Infinity War,” “The Avengers,” “Captain America: The First Avenger.”
Subsequent episodes will feature Marvel Studio’s Pinar Toprak; DisneyNature’s “Penguins” composer Harry Gregson-Williams; and Henry Jackman, who scored “Ralph Breaks the Internet,” “Wreck-It Ralph,” “Big Hero 6”
Four more episodes are scheduled for the fall and into 2020.
