LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess) — Legendary singer-songwriter and recording artist Yusuf/Cat Stevens has signed with United Talent Agency for representation in all areas.

Yusuf Islam began his career in the 1960s while still a teenager, scoring early hits with singles such as “I Love My Dog” and “Matthew and Son” but truly broke through to the mainstream with recordings such as “Father and Son,” “Morning Has Broken,” “Peace Train” and “Moonshadow.”

Yusuf took an almost three-decade hiatus from music after converting to Islam in 1977 but returned to music in 2003 with the recording a rendition of “Peace Train” for a benefit compilation CD and in 2005, announced he was reviving his career as a recording artist.

In addition to his achievements in music, Yusuf has been recognized for his philanthropic work and was presented with the “Man of Peace” Award at The World Summit of Noble Peace Laureates for his efforts to promote world peace. He is presently working on the launch of the Peace Train Initiative, which is focused on providing relief, medical aid, and education to individuals in need as well as promoting harmony between children of different religious and ethnic backgrounds.

He continues to be managed by Yoriyos Adamos at Catch Bull Management.
