LONDON (CelebrityAccess) — The Association of Independent Music, the UK trade association for the indie sector, announced that Gee Davy has been elevated to the role of CEO at the organization.
Davy joined AIM in 2017 as the organization’s Head of Legal & Business Affairs and was then promoted to COO in 2020 before she was upped to interim CEO in April.
In her new leadership role at AIM, Davy will continue to “lead AIM’s work championing the UK’s broad and fast-growing independent music community.”
Following the organization’s Annual General Meeting on November 21st, AIM announced a slate of new board directors that include Warp Records’ Leah Ellis; Cherry Red Records, Matt Bristow; Because Music’s Junior Foster, and Domino Record’s Rachel Buswell.
AIM also announced that Mark Lippman (Scruff of the Neck) and Toby Egekwu (Finesse Foreva) will join the board as observers.
