LAS VEGAS (vip-booking) – Las Vegas-based metal festival Sick New World has canceled its 2025 event just two months after unveiling a high-profile lineup headlined by Metallica and Linkin Park.
Other acts slated to perform included Queens of the Stone Age, AFI, Evanescence, and Gojira.
Festival organizers shared the news via their official website and social media, citing “unforeseen circumstances” as the reason for canceling the April 12, 2025, event.
“It is with great disappointment that we announce that Sick New World will no longer take place in Las Vegas on April 12, 2025. Despite our best efforts, we’ve encountered unforeseen circumstances that we are unable to overcome for next year’s show. We extend our heartfelt thanks to all the dedicated SNW fans who had made plans to join us for another cultural celebration of hard rock, goth, alternative and heavy music.
“Tickets purchased directly from Front Gate Tickets will be automatically refunded to the original method of payment in as little as 30 days.”
The exact reasons behind the cancellation remain unclear, though rising ticket prices and broader industry challenges may have played a role. General admission tickets were initially priced at $400, climbing to $450 before the announcement.
Similar festivals have recently faced difficulties, with poor ticket sales speculated as a contributing factor.
