(CelebrityAccess) — Friendly Fire, organizers of the Indian Summer Festival, announced that the event will go on hiatus for the foreseeable future.
Organizers cited increasing costs which have made the event impossible to stage in its current form.
“Dear Indian Summer fans, with a heavy heart we have to inform you that Indian Summer Festival will be discontinued for the time being. Due to the ongoing cost increases of the past few years, we can unfortunately no longer continue Indian Summer in its current form. We do not want to ask for more ticket and catering prices, and that is why we have decided to take a break,” organizers shared in a translated post on the event’s website.
The fest was already operating in a limited capacity since 2019 when it was reduced from a multi-day event to a single day. The lineup in 2024 included the Dutch cabaret duo Acda En De Munnik, Dutch hip hop group De Jeugd van Tegenwoordig, the Dirty Daddies, son meiux, Bizzey, Outsiders, and more.
Along with Indian Summer, Friendly Fire also produces Best Kept Secret, Live At Amsterdam Bos, and the Loose Ends festival, among others.
