BOSTON, Mass. (CelebrityAccess) — Cortex, the French music project, known for their heady blend of jazz, psychedelic rock, and other influences, ahs signed with The Kurland Agency for worldwide booking.
Founded by pianist, singer and composer Alain Mion, Cortex first put their imprimateur on modern music with the release of their seminal album “Troupeau Bleu” in 1975. Since its debut, the album has been sampled by a who’s who of creatives, including Madlib, MF Doom, Tyler the Creator, Wiz Khalifa, Logic, Tyga, Lupe Fiasco, Wu Tang, and Rick Ross, among others.
The group is also known their engaging live performances and have been actively touring since reforming in 2009. The lineup currently includes founding member Alain Mion, (pianist, singer, composer, arranger, leader) along with Virginie Hombel (vocals), Loïc Soulat (keyboard and alto sax), Mohamed Ouaraz (bass), and Victor Dubois (drums).
At TKA, Cortex will be represented by Jack Randall.
