Apparently Kid Cudi Doesn't Like His Set Being Cut Short

MELBOURNE, Australia (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — When Kid Cudi's set at the Heatwave festival in Melbourne was cut short, the performer responded by trashing sound and lighting equipment on stage. And he's since promised to do it again if a gig gets cut short.

In a video of the incident, Cudi can be seen knocking over speakers and stage lighting before being chased off stage by concert security and fleeing to a van to depart the scene. Since then, the performer has taken to his tumblr account to write:

"If my set is EVER cut short at any show, im trashing the stage. Not out of anger, it takes a lot to get me furious nowadays, but out of principle. The fans always deserve a full set at all shows, especially when they spend their hard earned money on expensive tickets. A lot of artist wouldn’t do what I did in Australia, but I will."

The festival was beset by trouble, starting three hours later than the posted time, throwing the lineup schedule into disarray while rapper Chamillionaire was a no-show and the group D12 was missing members, Australian music blog Tonedeaf.com.au reported. Fans were also irked by the revelation on the day of the event that alcohol would not be available at the venue.

The trouble at the Melbourne show isn't the only heartburn for Heatwave organizers. The touring festival has been plagued with lineup trouble with headliners D12 missing numerous dates, a last minute cancelation of the event in Perth and poor ticket sales at each stop.
