LONDON (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — The estate of Roger "Syd" Barrett, the reclusive member of Pink Floyd who died in July 2006, auctioned off some of his belongings to benefit a charity fund for developing artists.
Barrett, a seemingly troubled and enigmatic figure, had spent the majority of his later years at his Cambridge home perfecting his artwork.
Items auctioned included two bicycles, which sold for approx. $19,500, ten of his paintings, which netted $107,250 and some of his furniture, including a stained armchair which sold for $2,145, European press reported.
