BIRMINGHAM, UK (CelebrityAccess) — The city of Birmingham will play host to a brand new music festival this summer.
The three-day Beyond The Tracks festival will be held from September 15th – 17th in the city's downtown center, close to Eastside Park, the Birmingham Mail reported.
Headliners for the inaugural edition of the fest include Orbital, Leftfield, Ocean Color Scene and Editors. The bill also includes the Jesus & Mary Chain, Faithless (DJ Set) and Maximo Park.
A spokesman told the newspaper: “We are seeing this as a ‘Last glimpse of summer' event at a time when there isn’t normally anything else on and when the weather can still be pretty good.
“We are hoping it will also give a push to local bands who will include The Twang, Jaws, Superfood, The Americas, Table Scraps, Victories at Sea, Goodnight Lenin, Blackash and Dorcha.”
The festival will also will include food and alcohol from local purveyors and have a daily capacity of 10,000 the Mail said. – Staff Writers
