Brooklyn's Barclays Bolster Sean Saadeh

BROOKLYN, NY (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) – The Barclays Center in Brooklyn, the sports and entertainment venue set to open in late spring, early summer of 2012, has named Sean Saadeh as Vice President of Programming.

Saadeh, 35, will work with the Barclays Center executive team in managing and directing all event bookings for the Barclays Center and will utilize his relationships with promoters to help bring best-in-class and diversified programming to the venue.

Saadeh joins the Barclays Center after nearly three years as Executive Director of Booking for AEG Facilities in which he oversaw the 20,000-seat Jobing.com Arena in Scottsdale, AZ., the home of the Phoenix Coyotes. He brings 15 years of experience in the negotiation of building rental agreements, fee structures, RFP’s and contracts for event planners and concert promoters.

The Barclays Center will host more than 200 events annually, including concerts, monthly major professional boxing cards, professional tennis, top college basketball and hockey, family shows, such as Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus and Disney on Ice, and NETS Basketball. Current programming alliances with the Barclays Center include Golden Boy Promotions, IMG, Feld Entertainment, and Lagardère Unlimited.

“His [Saadeh's] contemporary approach to scheduling and booking a major arena and his strong relationships with established promoters will be instrumental in bringing the biggest acts and most wide-ranging talent to play at the Barclays Center,” said Alex Diaz, the General Manager of the Barclays Center, according to the press release.
