(CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — With baseball season in full swing, the Chicago Cubs, New York Yankees and Boston Red Sox were the top three tickets sold in June according to the TicketsNow Entertainment Index. TicketsNow.com, the world's largest and most secure online marketplace for secondary event tickets, saw sports fans purchasing baseball tickets almost twice as much as concert tickets, despite some of the top acts touring the US this summer, including U2, Rolling Stones, Paul McCartney, and The Dave Matthews Band.
For the sixth month running, "Wicked", held on to its top spot for theater tickets, making it the fourth most popular event overall.
The Rolling Stones are still one of the biggest concert draws by grabbing the top concert sales spot and the fifth overall.
