LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess) — Music label Interscope Geffen A&M has signed a content creation deal with Keshet Studios to develop, produce and distribute music-related digital content.
Under the multi-year deal, the two companies will produce original digital scripted and non-scripted video content aimed at the tech-savvy millennial 'cord cutter' audience.
The first announced project in development under the venture is TRACKS, which the companies bill as a gritty coming-of-age drama with the real-world music scene. It follows five twenty-somethings who find common ground in live music as they make their way through life's challenges.
The deal will provide a potential new licensing revenue stream for Interscope Geffen's artist roster which includes Eminem, Kendrick Lamar, Imagine Dragons, Lady Gaga, Selena Gomez, Tame Impala, Lana del Rey, The 1975, and Rae Sremmurd, among others.
Financial terms of the deal, including the scope of Interscope Geffen A&M's investment in Keshet were not disclosed. – Staff Writers
