NEW YORK (CelebrityAccess) — Aerosmith guitarist Joe Perry is reportedly in the hospital but in stable condition after collapsing on stage during a performance in Coney Island on Sunday night.
According to New York's PIX11, Perry, 65, was performing with his side project the Hollywood Vampires when he appeared to become unsteady on his feet. Fan made videos of the incident show Perry sitting down on the edge of the riser for the drums, and then walking unsteadily off stage, where he reportedly lost consciousness.
According to Rolling Stone, EMTs backstage quickly revived Perry and he was transported to a nearby hospital for evaluation and care.
Alice Cooper, a member of the Vampires, later told the crowd that Perry was sick.
After the show, Cooper tweeted that Perry was in stable condition. "Thanks to everyone asking about our brother Joe Perry," Cooper wrote on the social media service. "He is stable right now, with family & is under the best care." – Staff Writers
