Marquee 'Gleams' Over Colorado

BOULDER, CO (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Colorado has embraced a young, free, and monthly music publication, Marquee Magazine. With a self proclaimed mission to “build the Colorado brand,” Marquee serves the local area as well as international readers with high profile interviews and covers.

Often called the Magazine the "Farmer's Almanac of the local music scene," Marquee’s tag line is simple: Live for Live Music.

In 2009, Colorado's medical marijuana laws changed the game for not just Marquee, but for many publications in Colorado. Dispensaries, and grow stores started popping up everywhere and advertising with fervor, in the face of what many people called "The Green Rush."

Not surprisingly, many of the music addicts that The Marquee were already reaching were also patients, or somehow involved in the movement, and the magazine has flourished under the new regulations.

The Marquee covers live concerts in the Colorado area from the small acts playing coffee shops and bars to the national and internationally touring acts that play the Pepsi Center and the famed Red Rocks Amphitheatre.

Over the years, covers have included over the years have included The Police, REM, Wilco, My Morning Jacket, The Dead, Iggy Pop, Gomez, The Flaming Lips, Velvet Revolver, Snow Patrol, Ryan Adams, Daniel Johnston, GWAR, and 3OH!3.
