NEW YORK (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Former Knitting Factory impresario Michael Dorf is looking to get back into the game with his new winery based in New York City.
The 21,000-square foot SoHo space will house a 500 capacity event space, a wine bar featuring more than 50 wines per night and a full-on winery.
The venue will also feature a full stage and sound system designed by Meyer sound to support a national artist in an intimate setting.
"It's a hybrid between a winery and private event space," Dorf told Wines & Vines."Running a nightclub in Manhattan for 20 years, you get to understand what it takes to deal with the difficult operations of a very public place in a personal way."
The Winery is on track for a Fall 2008 opening with booking starting "soon." – CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
