MONTVILLE, CT (CelebrityAccess) — The Mohegan Sun's Sports & Entertainment team celebrated their unprecedented win of three national awards in one year at a special team huddle held at the Mohegan Sun resort in Connecticut.
The Sun won Arena of the Year from both the G2E (Global Gaming Expo) in Las Vegas and the ACM Awards (Academy of Country Music) in Nashville, as well as a third award, Theater of the Year, from the ACM Awards for the Wolf Den Theater. All of the awards were voted on by Academy music industry experts and casino industry balloting worldwide.
"If there was a Venue Hall of Fame, this special group would be a first ballot induction.", said Tom Cantone, Sr. Vice President of Sports & Entertainment. "Winning not one but three national awards in one year as the Number One Arena twice and the first ever Wolf Den win over all other venues worldwide, may never come again and we wanted to celebrate how exceptional this achievement is when you are up against the biggest and best. I think years from now we will look back on this incredible run we are on as an historic time not only in our history but a milestone for the industry as well."
