O.A.R. To Embark On Its Most Ambitious Tour

(CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — O.A.R., fresh off an almost completely sold-out spring tour, will kickoff of their annual summer headline tour beginning July 9 in Milwaukee, WI, at Summerfest and wind down August 20 in Chicago at its own Feeling Better Than Everfine Festival. The upcoming tour is expected to put O.A.R. in front of an estimated 263,000 fans in 26 markets across the country, marking the bands' most ambitious two-month outing to date. O.A.R. has tapped Hawaii's ska-rockers Pepper and The Southland as openers. In addition to the headline tour, the band will once again join the Dave Matthews Band on select dates during July.

"We are really excited to get out there and hit the amphitheatres this summer," remarked O.A.R. singer/lyricist Marc Roberge. "We had 15 sold-out shows on our spring tour which took our music and fan base to an entirely different level. Plus, being able to join Dave Matthews Band on a few dates is the icing on the cake of an already exciting summer."

O.A.R. will headline the fourth annual Feeling Better Than Everfine Festival. Previous years' festivals have taken place in Cleveland, Ohio, and have drawn over 5,000 people. Festival host Everfine Records joins forces with Chicago's House of Blues Concerts this year to promote this all-day interactive gathering filled with music and crafts. The festival has become a rite of passage for many emerging artists, including Maroon 5, Marc Broussard, and Howie Day. O.A.R. has sold three quarters of a million albums and played to over 800,000 people since their humble beginnings.
