On December 6, the music industry will host the Spirit of Life Award Roast to raise funds for the City of Hope, one of the world's leading research and treatment centers for cancer, diabetes, HIV/AIDs and many other diseases. The guest of honor — the roastee — is Richard Palmese, a 20 year executive board ember of the City of Hope. He will also be the recipient of the Spirit of Life Award which is the highest form of recognition that City of Hope gives to a volunteer. The "Spirit of Life" Award Roast takes place at the lower Manhattan hotspot Capitale. Tickets are $500 each,
