Rock Ridge Music Celebrates First Anniversary

(CelebrityAccess MediaWire) —

In July, artist development company/label Rock Ridge Music celebrated its one year anniversary. Kicking off their second year of business, Rock Ridge launched their ringtone store last month with musical offerings from Five.Bolt.Main, the Ike Reilly Assassination, Sinch, Legbone, Dezeray's Hammer, Stroke 9, Love.45 and Hades. Subscribers to service with AT&T, Cingular, and T-Mobile can text the word "RRM" to 73804 to have access to the ringtones. The same ringtones are also available as standard carrier offerings to Sprint and Verizon customers via their regular channels.

Additionally, Rock Ridge has a full plate of fall releases planned, including both regular and digital-only releases. First on the schedule is Five.Bolt.Main, the new project featuring former Flaw vocalist Chris Volz. The album, "Venting," follows on the heels of a two-song digital-only release that came out on August 2 and was a full retail release which hit stores on September 13. Five.Bolt.Main's video for their song "Pathetic" debuted on MTV2's "Headbanger's Ball" on August 13.

The other full retail release is the new Ike Reilly Assassination album, "Junkie Faithful," which comes out on September 27. Already the album is seeing very early spins on Drive 105 radio in Minneapolis and the IRA has just confirmed the opening slot on three upcoming Louis XIV tour dates. A full IRA tour is scheduled to begin in late September. In July, a digital-only four-song EP by the band was released entitled "Sparkle in the Finish: The B Sides."

Rock Ridge has also scheduled or is planning a number of digital-only EP releases this fall, which are available everywhere digital tracks are sold in the U.S., including outlets like Napster, iTunes, MusicMatch, Real, etc. Confirmed for October 25 release will be a four or five track EP from Halfdown Thomas, a band from Birmingham, AL. The EP will serve as a prelude to their full-length 2006 release, which they are currently working on in the studio with Chris Henderson of 3 Doors Down. Other fall digi releases (exact release dates in November to be determined) include: Sinch (the follow-up to their full length "Clearing The Channel"), Tony Lucca (singer-songwriter from Los Angeles, 4-song EP), Stroke 9 (plans are for an acoustic "greatest hits" EP), and Domeshots (the follow-up to their full length "Self-Titled").–Bob Grossweiner and Jane Cohen
