The Conjuring 2 Pulls In The American Audience

LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess) – In a time when sequels usually come in with less than impressive numbers, both Warner Bros’. ‘The Conjuring 2’ and Lionsgate’s ‘Now You See Me 2’ took the first and third top spots at the domestic box office. Universal’s ‘Warcraft,’ based on the video game, came in second domestically but worldwide it was number one with huge dollar signs to prove it.

comScore's Senior Media Analyst Paul Dergarabedian commented, "Universal's 'Warcraft' declared box-office war this weekend with impressive global takings of $210.2 million and cumulative total to date of nearly $300 million. On the scarier side of the ledger, Warner Bros.' 'The Conjuring 2' earned $90.35 million and proved that being a second installment is nothing to fear."
