LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess) — Grammy Award-winning artist The Weeknd announced the details of his first-ever upcoming world tour.
The first phase of The Weeknd's Starboy: Legend of the Fall 2017 World Tour is aimed at North America and Europe and will kick off on Friday, Feb. 17 in Stockholm, Sweden at The Globe and visit 14 additional cities across Europe including Paris, London, Amsterdam, Zurich, Oslo, Copenhagen and more before heading to North America on Tuesday, April 25 in Vancouver, British Columbia.
The North American leg of the tour will hit an additional 25 cities across the U.S. and Canada including stops in Los Angeles, Brooklyn, Toronto, Montreal, Chicago, Washington DC, Seattle and more.
The Weeknd first broke into the music scene with the 2011 mixtape House of Balloons followed by studio album Kiss Land in 2013 and his breakout Beauty Behind the Madness in 2015. His fourth studio album, Starboy, is due to be released on November 25th.
The title track featuring Daft Punk broke the record for "Most Release Weekend Streams Ever" upon its release. In less than a week, the single amassed over 17 million streams globally and 6.5 million streams in the United States, becoming #1 Most Added at Top 40, Rhythm, Urban, and Hot AC. – Staff Writers
