Trevi Postpones Rest Of Tour

McALLEN, TX (CelebrityAccess MediaWire) — Gloria Trevi’s highly-publicized yet highly-troubled Trevolution Tour is over. The 37-year-old Mexican pop star is six months pregnant, and was told to “take it easy until the baby is born” by her doctor, her publicist told The Monitor.

“All her shows are postponed until October,” her publicist told the paper. “Right now, she is going to enjoy her pregnancy and spend time with her son.”

Trevi’s baby boy is due in August.

Most of the stops on Trevi’s 30-date American tour were postponed, including a May 12 show at Dodge Arena in Hidalgo, Texas, which had already been postponed once after the controversial singer failed to show up for an April 8th concert due to what family members claimed was an issue with obtaining a visa to enter the United States. Dates in New York and Arizona had already been cancelled due to dismal ticket sales, while the concerts that already occurred have been met with mixed reviews.

Trevi was released from prison in September 2004, after spending a combined five years behind bars in Mexico and Brazil, on kidnapping, rape, and corruption of minors charges. Trevi’s boyfriend, Armando Gomez, was recently sentenced to four months in prison for transporting hundreds of thousands of dollars from the United States to Mexico without proper documentation. –by CelebrityAccess Staff Writers
